Dear Mr Stembridge- King.    Head of Organisation,  British Airline Pilots Association (BALPA)

.

1. Look what the solicitors that BALPA  directed me to, Simpson Millar LLP,  did to my case files.

2. The Deputy Head of a  Crime Agency has concluded that matters in my case are more  serious than just

fraud, the more serious offences  also include perjury

3. A police force have been instructed to visit me and take a statement, I was contacted by the Head of

the Fraud Unit of this police force today, they will be visiting me this week.

4. I have also to day spoken with the President of the Court of Protection and Family Division Private Office.

Simpson Millar LLP failed to inform me that a Circuit Judge had been instructed by a High Court Family

Judge to transfer my case to the Court of Appeal in 2013.

5. How many other pilots and BALPA members have Simpson Millar LLP  solicitors done this to.

6. BALPA had paid for my earlier treatment for organophosphate poisoning, this is now being treated by

excellent NHS consultants and other healthcare professionals.

7. When  two detectives from Thames Valley Police visited me  in Devon several years ago they questioned

the standard of legal representation I was being afforded by Simpson Millar LLP. Their suspicion has now

been  shown to be well founded.

8. Professor Gordon Turnbull FRCS FRCP the  psychiatric advisor to the United Kingdom Civil Aviation

Authority in December 2014 located  Dr Royds clinical notes from 2004 that had been missing. Professor

Turnbull sent them to me in January 2015.

 9. Simpson Millar LLP had copies of these clinical notes and  had known since March 2012 that  BP Collins

Solicitors in 2004 had not disclosed a medical report  under Part V11 Mental Health Act 1984, issued to

protect me, to the Court of Protection !

10. For the past three years retired police officers, including former Special Branch officers, have been

assisting and guiding me. The Secret Settlement between British Aerospace and others surrounding

the BAe146 that had not been disclosed to Lord Tyler and the Australian Senate was handover by

myself  in 2014 to the Rt Hon Andy Burnham MP, Shadow Secretary of State for Health, at a  private

meeting at the Palace of Westminster in the presence of the Countess of Mar and others. Also hand

to Mr Burnham  was Court of Protection Medical Certificates not disclosed by Simpson Millar LLP

Yours sincerely,

Leonard Lawrence

Subject: BALPA Enquiry
Date: Mon, 2 Mar 2015 15:08:57 +0000

Dear Mr Lawrence,

Thank you for making an enquiry about BALPA’s Legal Assistance scheme to one of my colleagues in the Legal Department.  I understand that you are concerned about the use of one of the law firms in our portfolio.

I would like to reassure you that BALPA’s Legal Panel is very proactive when assessing cases that would be suitable for referral to a legal adviser.  We use a portfolio of law firms and we are not tied to any specific company.  Each legal case that is referred to the Legal Panel is judged on its merits and where necessary we instruct an adviser based on the circumstances of the case and the legal specialism concerned.  This system has served us well in recent years and we have secured some excellent rewards for our members as a consequence.

Derek Jenkins Chief Executive St John’s Chambers Bristol

Writes in September 2010, Barrister Jody Atkinson could not advise as he was never put in possession of the full facts. Mr. Atkinson did not advise

Simpson Millar LLP to withdraw the public funding certificate, Mr. Atkinson asked Simpson Millar LLP to supply him with more documents and

information so that he could advise further. This never happened.

Importantly, under the rules of the Legal Assistance scheme, we only handle cases that are employment related.  For all other matters, if handled by one of the law firms that we would regularly use, it would be conducted on a private client basis.  Therefore, if you have a complaint about the conduct of a personal case it would be advisable to raise the issue with the law firm concerned using their complaints procedure.  Subsequently, if you were not satisfied with the outcome, you could complain to the Solicitors Regulation Authority.

Devon & Cornwall Police Crime and Justice Department

Dear Mr. Lawrence I can confirm that no Court of Protection Certificates were released to us by the Law Society,

therefore no certificates were passed to Thames Valley Police when they took on the investigation.

Detective Chief. Superintendent, Crime and Justice Department

I hope that you can resolve the matter to your satisfaction.

Your sincerely,

John

1). To avoid any confusion, the screwed up paper in the boxes  is not packaging  it is my case files as sent to me by Simpson Millar LLP

Solicitors. The files include Court of Protection Medical Certificates. The files were under the control of solicitor

David Harrington at Simpson Millar LLP.  The files are presently held by James Batley at the Court of Protection.

.

2. The above screwed up papers  was Simpson Millar LLP Solicitors response to His Honour Judge Philip Weller (Court of Protection Judge)

that the file, in the first instance, should be sent to the Court of Protection.  The files  appear to demonstrate the contempt some

solicitors and barristers have for Lord Justice Sir James Munby, President of the Court of Protection and  Family Division and

    nominated Court of  Protection judges.
